Tags
Overview
Content Tags are keywords or terms assigned to assets. In Cascade CMS, tags help describe content and allow it to be found through searching or indexing.
Tags can also be used in combination with Index Blocks or Query API to index content on your published website and create related content sections or category listings.
Adding Tags to Content
When editing content, you can choose from existing site or system-wide tags, or create your own tags. To add tags to content:
- Click Edit.
- Scroll to the Tags field.
- Select existing tags to apply to your content, or create new tags by typing your tag and selecting Add...
- Submit your changes.
Tags created when editing content will become site tags (see below) and will be immediately available for all users in the same site.
Site Tags
Site tags are available for all users creating and editing content within the same site. Site tags can be managed in the Manage Site area under Tags.

- Click Manage Site > Tags.
- Enter a new tag value and click Add Tag.

To delete a site tag:

If the tag you're attempting to delete is in use, you'll be prompted to review the number of assets using the tag and confirm your deletion.
