How do I create an anchor link?

Anchor links, sometimes called "skip links", allow you to link to a particular spot within the same page or a different page. To create an anchor link to a location within a page:

  1. Place your cursor at the spot where you'd like your destination anchor to appear and click the Anchor button in the toolbar.
  2. Enter a unique ID for your anchor and click OK.
    • Note: Remember this ID or copy it somewhere; you'll need it for the next steps.
  3. If the anchor isn't in the same page as the anchor link, edit the page you'd like to contain the link to the anchor.
  4. Use the Insert/Edit link button in the toolbar to create an "Internal" link.
  5. Use the page chooser to browse for the page containing your anchor. For anchors within the same page, this will be the current page.
  6. In the Anchor field, type or paste the exact ID you used when creating the destination anchor. This will append the anchor ID to the end of the link URL.
