Why can't my users access the full search feature?

If your users see the following error message when attempting to access Full Search:

Your role does not authorize you to view this resource.

you may need to adjust their System Role(s). Because the Full Search and Replace feature resides in the Administration area, you will need to enable access to it by doing the following:

  • Navigate to the User in question under Administration > Users.
  • Click on the User account and note the System Roles assigned to the User.
  • Select the Role that is most appropriate for enabling this Full Search capability (keeping in mind that all other Users who inherit this System Role will be granted the enabled abilities) and click Edit.
  • Under Administration Area Abilities, enable Access Administration Area and click Submit.
Note - It's important to check your users' System and Site Role(s) after making this change to ensure no unintended access or abilities in other Administration areas was given.
